भारोत्तोलक मीराबाई चानू ने  BBC इंडियन स्पोर्ट्सवुमन ऑफ द ईयर का पुरस्कार जीता।

वह वर्ष 2021 का खिताब जीतने के बाद लगातार दो बार पुरस्कार जीतने वाली पहली एथलीट बनीं।

V BBC पैरा स्पोर्ट्सवुमेन ऑफ द ईयर भाविना पटेल को मिला, जबकि प्रीतम सिवाचे को BBC लाइफटाइम अचीवमेंट पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया।

  • नेपाल की ओर से माउंट एवरेस्ट को मापने वाली भारत की शिवांगी पाठक देश की सबसे युवा महिला बन गई है. सात शिखर सम्मेलन ट्रेक के प्रबंध निदेशक, मिंगमा शेरपा के अनुसार 16 वर्षीय शिवंगी सफलतापूर्वक दुनिया के सबसे ऊंचे पहाड़ पर चढ़ गयी हैं. 
  • हरियाणा के हिसार में जन्मी शिवंगी ने माउंट एवरेस्ट पर इस संदेश को फैलाने के लिए चढ़ाई की, कि महिलाएं अपने लक्ष्यों को प्राप्त करने के लिए किसी भी बाधा को दूर कर सकती हैं.
